THE THUMP OF THE DEAD WOMAN

A woman just recently passed away. She was kind of old, she might of died of a heart attack. They dressed her in her best clothing as she was prepared to go into her coffin. After the minister and very few relatives had said there final words, the gravedigger had to close the casket. He saw two silver coins on her dresser and covered the deceased woman's eyes for fear that the woman was staring at him. The gravedigger was fairly poor so he swiped the coins from the woman's body, closed her coffin and buried her as fast as he could.
Later that night, he was tucked in his bed with the coins in his money box when all of a sudden the coins start to rattle softly at first. The fire he had set up finally blew out, leaving him in the dark of the night. The money started rattling a bit louder and he heard a voice near his house say,"Where's my money? Who has it? Who? Who?" the money rattled louder now and the voice got closer and the gravedigger heard the door creak open,"Where's my money? Who has it? Who? Who?" He was trembling so bad you could hear his bones clatter together, and hid under the covers. "Where's my money? Who has it? Who? Who?" The money rattled so loud now, he couldn't even think. He looked out from undr his covers and saw a recently deceased woman and is standing eyeless face to face with the gravedigger and says,"YOU'VE GOT IT!" She hurls her body toward him and rips out his eyes leaving him to die.
