This fictionalization of a true story about a 'poltergeist like phenominon that attacks (and rapes) one woman, scared the crap out of me the first time I saw it in 1982. Years later, it still has an incredible chilling value and plenty of jumps.
The film portrayed a real para-psychological investigation. They were the first REAL 'Ghostbusters,' in not just trying to detect the existence of the 'Entity,' but in trying to (somewhat successfully) capture it.
The film ends explaining that the woman portrayed in the movie is real. She now lives in Texas with her family, and, although they have decreased in frequency and intensity, the attacks on her continue to this day.
On that note I have to give this one five chills!
