Hell's Gate

In 1993 I was invited to investigate the haunting of Bobby Mackey's Nightclub located in Wilder, Kentucky, ten minutes from downtown Cincinnati, Ohio. At first I dismissed the story surrounding this site as a fluke, but once I began investigating the legend of a headless ghost and violent attacks by unseen hands I realized there was more to this than met the eye. I interviewed 29 people who had encountered unearthly spirits while they were inside this Country nightclub. One after another, the witnesses told me bizarre tales of being slammed against walls, thrown down stairs and being ordered to leave the building. After completing these interviews, that took six months, I went to the Library in Northern Kentucky and began investigating the site where Bobby Mackey's nightclub now sits. I learned that a woman was beheaded near this location in 1896 and the killers were caught and hung for this crime. One of the killers, while on the gallows, swore a curse on the site where the decapitated woman's head was supposedly hidden, never to be found. The killer swore he would come back from the grave and wreak havoc on all who set foot on this land. He also swore a curse on everyone who took part in the trial and the funny thing was, history states that everyone involved in that trial met a violent or untimely death. This man's spirit and his victim, still today, walk the darkened hallways of this nightclub one seeking help, the other seeking more victims. The same people who investigated the Amityville Horror and said it was a fake, stated that this story is true and that something evil walks and waits inside Bobby Mackey's Music World.
